John Robbins

Born in Bellingham, John grew up in La Conner. After graduation from La Conner High School,
he attended Skagit Valley College and began to formally study painting and sculpture in classes
taught by Sidney Eaton and Rand Robbin. He moved to Seattle to study Fine Art at Cornish
School of the Arts, graduating in 1969.

Since 1986, John has made his home in Edison. He has shown work in local exhibitions and
shows at the Smith & Vallee Gallery, the Edison Eye Gallery, the Scott Milo Gallery, and at
MONA annual auctions. In Bellingham, he has contributed to shows at the Whatcom Historical
Museum and the Lucia Douglas Gallery. His work has been exhibited in Seattle at the
University of Washington’s Henry Gallery, the Richard White Gallery, and the Manolides Gallery
as well as in Oregon at the Anderson Gallery in McMinnville and in San Diego, California at
Grossmount College.
