Arden Charles

Arden Charles graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in commercial art.
She studied with legendary Northwest artists Guy Anderson, Alden Mason, and George Tsutakawaw. Charles began her career as a set designer and photo stylist for a commercial photography studio, but returned to painting in 1995. Her work is narrative and ranges from watercolor to assemblage employing found objects. Pieces are included in the Swedish Hospital Foundation collections. She also has had work in the Whatcom Museum and the Frye Art Museum. Arden has been a member of Women Painters of Washington since 1997.
